Racial Justice & Healing with Forward through Ferguson
Over the next few months, I’ll be sharing (and creating!) digital reflections alongside @StlChange as it prepares to launch the region’s Racial Healing & Justice Fund.
Forward Through Ferguson defines racial healing and justice as the commitment to change the conditions that reinforce systemic racial inequities and endanger lives and to heal the core of our community.
This video is a quick intro about what racial justice and healing means to me in my work and life as a designer.
Healing cannot exist without justice so the Fund will invest in the tools and people to do this work through both of these lenses. Racial healing and justice encompasses multiple interwoven truths that exist in the same space. And, it is vital that power over the allocation of the Fund rests in the hands of affected community members.
